Get up to $800 for your old HVAC unit & help a fellow Arizonan keep their cool this summer

Thousands of households and businesses replace their HVAC unit with for-profit mechanical service providers each year and get no value from their old system in return.

When you donate your old unit to Comfort Shield, you can earn up to an $800 AZ tax credit and help disadvantaged members of our community keep their air conditioning running.

Whether your unit has finally called it quits or you’re just upgrading your space, we will accept your old unit and provide a federal tax credit voucher based on a mechanical assessment of your donation.

What affects the value of your HVAC unit?

Level of Unit Function

Condition of Individual Parts

Type of Refrigerant (Freon)

SEERS (Energy Efficiency) Rating

Improper disposal of old HVAC units allows increased gasses into the atmosphere that deplete the ozone layer & speed up global warming

Older HVAC units often use a strictly regulated refrigerant called Freon.

Many scrap services and mechanical companies are not qualified to handle Freon & often request that the owner must remove any Freon before disposal.

When you donate your old unit to Comfort Shield, our knowledgeable EPA certified technicians will sustainably dispose of any Freon for you (and the planet).
